Policies

  • Prep for Curly Cut: Your curly cut will start with a dry cut and I will need to be able to see your curls in their most natural state. Please come in with day 1 or day 2 hair, completely dry & detangled, and with light products only (cream/leave-in+ light gel is okay). Please refrain from pulling your hair back into any buns, ponytails, or braids as these styles stretch your curls out. Please follow preparation policies closely as failure to do so may result in service adjustments/cancellations or may incur extra charges.

  • Los Angeles Cancellation Policy: A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments. This deposit will be applied toward your service total.

    • If you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice, you will not owe any additional fees (deposit is retained).

    • If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the scheduled service(s) (deposit applied toward this amount).

    • No-shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled service(s) (deposit applied toward this amount).

    • I understand that true emergencies happen. If something serious occurs, please contact me as soon as possible so we can review your situation on a case-by-case basis.

  • Bay Area Cancellation Policy: A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments. This deposit will be applied toward your total service cost.
    To keep Bay Area visits sustainable and fair for everyone:

    • 7+ days notice – No additional fee (deposit retained)

    • 4–6 days notice – 50% of scheduled service(s)

    • 3 days or less – 100% of scheduled service(s)

    • No-show – 100% of scheduled service(s)

    Because I travel from Los Angeles for these appointments, last-minute changes impact my ability to provide services and cover travel costs.

    I understand that true emergencies happen. If something serious occurs, please contact me as soon as possible so we can review your situation on a case-by-case basis.

  • Grace Period: I understand that unforseen circumstances and traveling around the city can lead to lateness. I allow a 15 minute grace period, if you are later than that we will have to adjust your service or cancel completely (with charge) depending on the context.

  • Severe Tangles/Matting: If you are experiencing issues with extreme tangling and are in need of extra detangling services, please let me know before your appointment to ensure I can accommodate you as this service will require extra time & consideration. Detangling services are set at $125/hour.

  • Service Adjustments: If you, for any reason, are unsatisfied with your service outcome I am happy to make adjustments to get your cut where you'd like it to be. Please let me know within 2 weeks to recieve a free adjustment.
